How Nsɛm24 works
No editor picks these stories. An automated agent reads Ghana's newsrooms every 15 minutes, sorts each story into a section, works out which stories many outlets are reporting at once, and publishes the result here.
What the agent does
- Reads the public news feeds of Ghanaian publishers, plus Google News for outlets that don't offer one.
- Drops duplicates and stories older than a week.
- Fetches each story's photo and summary from the publisher's own page.
- Files the story under a section, subsection, region and topic using the headline, summary and the publisher's own labels.
- Scores the tone of every story and ranks stories by freshness and by how many newsrooms are covering the same event.
Publishers stay in charge of their journalism
We only show a headline, a short summary and a photo preview. Every story links straight to the outlet that reported it, so the reader, the click and the credit go to them. Publishers who prefer not to appear can be removed from the source list.
